Deadline
Submit with your final 2026 payroll, no later than December 29. Any amounts not already run through payroll that belong on your employees’ W-2s or 1099s must be in by then. This includes, but isn’t limited to:
- Owners’ health insurance (2% S-corp shareholders)
- Third-party sick pay
- Group term life over $50,000
- Personal use of a company vehicle
Why This Matters
W-2 processing starts right after your last scheduled check date of the year. Anything reported after that point means a corrected W-2 (W-2c), plus the extra fee and paperwork that come with it.
How to Submit
Send the amounts or documentation to your Account Manager before your final payroll runs. Then run your W-2 Preview Report to make sure everything landed correctly.
